Jill takes the honours in the February 2020 Competition "Food Chain".

Peter Weaver was the judge for this month’s competition entitled “Food Chain” and placed Jill Toman First in both colour and mono sections with her wildlife photos “Top of the Animal Food Chain” and “The Hunt for Food”. Jill also took second place in the colour section with “The Butcher prepares meat for the table” and was also commended for her 3rd entry “Grass Cutting in the Chew Valley”. Third place went to Ivy Goatcher “One end of the Food Chain” with Bill Collett and Suzanne Ladd Highly Commended for “Jerking” and “A Dairy Food Chain” respectively, and Jane Richardson was awarded Commended for “Selling Fruit Along The River.”

Other awards in the mono section included Suzanne Ladd’s second place for “Ooops! A web Problem” and Ivy Goatcher’s third for “Milk for Sale”. Janice Cuer was awarded a Highly Commended for “Fish Market” and collected a Commended for “Shopping” The other Highly Commended photo was Diana Walker’s “New Food” and the other Commended was Bill Collett’s “Chilli Box”.

All images appear in the Gallery section of the Webpage which we hope you find interesting and informative, and hopefully the Midsomer Norton Journal will also feature this report , although with a one and a half page spread in last week’s edition we must not be greedy!

Next week sees the Audio Visual group presenting a selection of their work to date this year and our AGM is the following week, when elections to the new Committee will take place, and members are also reminded to hand in their entries for the March print competition “The letter N”.
